Camp Marrowbone
Teaching Our Youth Life Skills Through Lakota Values
In partnership with the Sioux YMCA, Camp Marrowbone is a one-week summer camp for children to spend time outdoors and embrace Lakota culture. Activities include arts and crafts, hiking, outdoor sports, and water activities as well as traditional Lakota education and traditions.
One Spirit will be sending 60 kids from the Pine Ridge Reservation to Camp Marrowbone this summer completely free of charge to the youth attending, giving them new experiences and contacts that will help them grow, all within a culturally appropriate environment.
Transforming the Lives of the Lakota Youth of Pine Ridge Reservation
At One Spirit, we began our journey by focusing on providing healthy nutrition to the Oglala Lakota community.
However, over the years, we have expanded our programs to encompass a wide range of initiatives that benefit the young residents of the Pine Ridge Reservation.
This summer, we are thrilled to announce that One Spirit will be sending 60 children from the Pine Ridge Reservation to Camp Marrowbone. Thanks to the unwavering support of our donors, these young individuals will have the opportunity to attend this transformative camp without any financial burden.
At Camp Marrowbone, they will embark on a remarkable journey of personal growth, forging new experiences and connections within a culturally appropriate environment.

Every donation goes a long way in empowering these young campers. Here is a breakdown of the costs associated with sending a child from the reservation to camp for a week:
$20: Provides S.T.E.M. and craft supplies to enhance our intentional camp curriculum.
$50: Provides essentials such as sleeping bags, bedding, and toiletries.
$100: Provides 25 healthy and nutritious meals and snacks.
$250: Provides one week of transportation for campers, eliminating barriers to their participation.
$500: Scholarships a camper for an amazing week at Camp Marrowbone.
