Today, We Mourn Tiny DeCory

Today, my grandma made her journey home.

Although this is the saddest day of my life, all I can think of is how grateful I am that God has given myself and the entire world my Grandma Tiny for the time she lived on this earth. She truly changed the world with the love and compassion she led with everyday. She lived every day like it was her last. She fiercely fought for the youth and underprivileged. She loved and gave tough love. She had so much compassion for people in all walks of life. The impact she had will be felt forever.

I would choose her again and again in every life. I am grateful she chose me to be her grandson which is my greatest honor.

Today, while my heart is shattered, there is a joy in seeing people from all around the world whose lives she had touched in a positive way. We must continue to help people, treat each other with kindness, and give people a fighting chance of hope like she did every single day. I truly look forward to the day I can see my grandma again. Her legacy will never be forgotten. I love you forever, Tiny Jane DeCory.
