One Spirit takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of onespiritlakota.org:

Conformance Status

  • Heading Structure: Implemented a logical heading structure on main pages to aid navigation with assistive technologies.

  • Resizable Text: Used relative units and sufficient base font sizes (often 16px or larger) to allow users to resize text.

  • Responsive Design: Ensured the website adapts to different screen sizes, including mobile and tablet devices.
     

Known Limitations and Areas for Improvement

Despite our best efforts, we are aware of some limitations and are working to address them:

  • Blog Post Heading Structure: While main pages utilize proper heading structures, some older blog posts may not have a fully compliant or logical heading hierarchy. This can make navigating these specific posts more difficult for screen reader users. We are aware of this issue and are working progressively to update older content to meet current standards.

  • Third-Party Content: Some embedded content, such as potential Google Forms, may have accessibility limitations beyond our direct control.
